Message from the Post-Baccalaureate Accelerated Nursing Program Coordinator


Picture of Accelerated director Welcome to an exciting new program available to college graduates with non-nursing majors. This is a fast paced and innovative program that enables individuals to apply for RN licensure after one calendar year. A cohort of twenty one students who have fulfilled all of the admission requirements begins every August.

This accelerated curriculum is based on the same Dominican values as our traditional undergraduate program and mirrors that program in philosophy and implementation. Students will learn the art and science of professional nursing as they are closely supervised in a wide variety of clinical settings. Those experiences extend and complement the classroom activities that take place on our Deming Way campus.

At the completion of this program, students will be armed with the ability to practice holistic nursing care in multiple health care settings and fulfill their desire to begin a rewarding career in the nation’s largest health care profession.
