The School of Nursing Mission Statement
The School of Nursing (SoN) reflects the Mission of Edgewood College by locating professional nursing education within the context of a Catholic, liberal arts setting in the Dominican tradition. Nursing is a profession built on knowledge from nursing theory, research and practice, the humanities, and the natural and behavioral sciences. Students are educated in a dynamic interactive environment to be knowledgeable, accountable, responsible, ethical and culturally sensitive graduates who will become leaders in a changing and diverse healthcare environment.
