Doris Ellison

Edgewood School of Nursing Clinical Instructor, Doris Ellison, was pictured in the September 2010 issue of "Nursingmatters”. Doris was the recipient of the Academic Linkages “Mary Adelaide Nutting” Award at the 2010 Public Health Nursing Awards.

Peggy Weber

Edgewood Alumni Peggy Weber was a nominee for Madison Magazine’s Favorite Nurse of 2010 Award. Peggy is a Parish Nurse for St. Mary’s Parish and Parish Program Nurse Coordinator.

Deanna Blanchard

Graduate student, Deanna Blanchard, recently presented at the WNA (Wisconsin Nursing Association). She did a poster presentation on research she completed in NRS 660/725 on measuring awareness of the American Heart Association’s Go-Red for Women campaign and knowledge of heart disease risks of younger women.

Deanna is also publishing the November issue of "Nursingmatters".

Jennifer Weitzel-Blahnick

Jennifer Weitzel-Blahnick received an alumni organization service award from the UW School of Nursing. Jennifer has worked in public health agencies serving the Ho-Chunk Nation, City of Madison and the now-merged Public Health-Madison and Dane County. She concurrently is also the clinical instructor for Edgewood College senior students in community health at Ho-Chunk and Jefferson County.
